Buddy the Bulldog walks young children through real moments: smoke in the kitchen, getting separated at the store, a dog they don't know. Children choose what Buddy should do, then act it out together. Teachers get a full school year of short lessons, already planned.

How a lesson works

See it
A short picture story shows a real moment. Buddy can read it aloud, so children who don't read yet follow along.

Choose it
Children tap what Buddy should do. A wrong choice gets a gentle "not this one" and another try, never a score.

Do it
Every lesson ends by acting it out together, with the exact words to say and what to have ready.
A whole school year, already planned
Each topic has its own Buddy and its own weeks, in the order of the school safety calendar. For a mid-August start, Fire Buddy lands on Fire Prevention Week in October, and Water Buddy arrives in late spring. Teachers can reorder or switch off any topic.

Where the guidance comes from
Every Safety Buddy lesson is evidence-informed: grounded in guidance from trusted national organizations — the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, FEMA, NFPA, and others. When Buddy meets a dog he does "Be a Tree" — the response taught by Doggone Safe's dog-bite prevention program. Trusted sources remain the authority; Safety Buddy helps bring their guidance to life for young children.
